 Alot of fun! height must be adjusted for smallest childFeb 10, 2010
The kids love this! A couple of tips. install the cable almost level with not too much slope. The weight of the rider will pull the cable down lower as they ride through the middle and the upward slope at end of ride will slow them down. This is the proper installation otherwise you slam the dolly into the cable clamps at the end of the ride.
If your children are different heights you may need to make it quite low (we did not want our 5 year old to fall from too high.) this makes it difficult for adult riders because the weight pulls them down even further and cannot hold legs up high enough. Also, we piled a mountain of mulch at the end so the small kids could reach it with their feet and also have a soft landing if they fell.

The traction handles are a good idea (helps kids not slip off) but are a bit painful for a 100 ft ride. After every slide, my kids would have marks on their palms and fingers. They did agree that the ride was worth it, but for your money, I recommend finding another product.

Purchased anticipating visits from nieces and nephews this summer. What can I say, it was a big hit with the kids...(some of the big 'kids' enjoy it too -- I'm going to have get a longer line.)

We bought this product for our grandchildren. They love it!
Although I was anticipating some installation problems, my son had it up and running with-in a couple of hours.

The product came in the mail yesterday morning. Late in the afternoon my son-in-law assembled the ride (it took him possibly an hour with a little help from me). I would highly recommend that 2 men assemble the ride as it would be easier for 2 fairly strong people to tighten the line appropriately. My 3 grandsons (ages 11, 8, and 5) had ball riding the 90-ft line between trees in the back yard. My main concern at this point would be the plastic pulleys (there are 4): I am afraid that they will wear soon, but I assume we can replace them with metal pulleys). Something that isn't obvious from the picture is that there is a metal tube that fits inside the handles, which makes them strong enough to hold the weight of a person. I can imagine the neighborhood kids lining up for their turn on the zip ride! I would recommend this item to anyone. This item came by Super Saver Shipping, and it was delivered 2 days before Amazon's estimated delivery date!
